Earlier this month, Casmir Care Services had the opportunity to celebrate our amazing Direct Support Professionals during DSP Appreciation Week, September 13 – 19, 2026!
Our DSPs play an incredible role in the lives of the individuals and families we serve. Their dedication, compassion, patience, and hard work make a meaningful difference every day, and we were excited to spend the week showing them how much they are valued and appreciated.
Throughout the week, we had something special planned each day, from appreciation messages and DSP Trivia to wellness activities and recognition awards.
We kicked off the week by recognizing our DSPs and highlighting the qualities that make each member of our team special.
Tuesday brought some fun competition with DSP Trivia, where our DSPs tested their knowledge about Casmir Care Services, training, and the world of Direct Support Professionals.
On Wednesday, our team focused on wellness and movement with a group walk. DSPs who participated were entered into a drawing, and everyone went home with something!
Thursday was our DSP Recognition Awards, giving us another opportunity to celebrate the special qualities and contributions of our DSPs. Awards recognized qualities such as being dependable, being a team player, having a positive attitude, communicating well, getting things done, and going above and beyond.
We wrapped up DSP Appreciation Week with an End-of-Summer Cookout, bringing our staff and the individuals we support together for a day of food, fellowship, games, music, and fun. It was a wonderful way to come together, enjoy one another’s company, and celebrate our DSPs for the excellent work they do in the lives of the individuals we support. 🍔🎶🎉
DSP Appreciation Week gave us a special opportunity to say what we want our DSPs to know all year long: Thank you for your dedication, compassion, patience, and hard work. Thank you for the difference you make each day in the lives of the individuals and families we serve.
